How do you get from Izmir Airport to Denizli?

From Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport to Denizli it is about 230 km, a drive that usually takes 2.5–3 hours. Leaving the airport, we join the Izmir–Aydin motorway and stay on it as far as Aydin. After Aydin we continue east along the Buyuk Menderes valley, passing through Nazilli and Saraykoy before reaching Denizli.

The road through the valley passes from one town to the next, so it is a little slower than the motorway; fields and orchards line it on both sides. As we approach Denizli, on clear days Mount Honaz appears on the horizon.

On a drive this long, a break halfway is welcome for most travellers. If you have children or an elderly relative with you, you can write in your booking whether you would like a tea stop or a short meal break; we add it and give you your estimated arrival time.

Where do people stay in Denizli?

Denizli city centre spreads across two districts, Merkezefendi and Pamukkale. Most of the hotels, the hospitals and Pamukkale University are in the city. Denizli is also one of Turkey’s important textile centres, and many of the factories producing towels and home textiles are in the organised industrial zone; some visitors come for order meetings or production visits.

When you send us the hotel or company address, we check the location. If you are going to the organised industrial zone, tell us the company name and the gate where you are expected, and we go straight to that entrance; at an address in the city, we drop you right outside the door.

If you are going to a district such as Civril, Acipayam or Tavas, share your address; we look at the location and tell you the fare for that drive in advance.

Denizli city or the Pamukkale travertines?

“Pamukkale” is a name visitors to Denizli often mix up, because it refers to two different places: the Pamukkale district, which covers part of Denizli city centre, and the white travertines north of the city. For addresses in the city, including Pamukkale University, the fare on this page applies. If you are heading to the travertines, Hierapolis, or a hotel in Pamukkale village or Karahayit, the Pamukkale route is the better fit.

There is also an airport closer to the city: Denizli Cardak. If your flight lands in Izmir, we meet you at Adnan Menderes and take you straight to Denizli. For Aydin, which lies on the way, there is a separate Aydin route.

How much is a transfer from Izmir Airport to Denizli?

Our Denizli transfer fare is €170 / ₺9.000 per vehicle, one way. The number of passengers does not affect the fare: a two-person buying team with bags of samples and a large family visiting relatives pay exactly the same. There are no other passengers in the vehicle, and we take breaks to suit your schedule.

For a return trip we add the two one-way fares together. We collect payment in cash at the end of the ride, when we reach your address in Denizli; there is no prepayment.

Returning from Denizli to Izmir Airport

For the return we pick you up at your hotel, at the factory gate or at your address in the city. We work out the pickup time with you by counting back from your flight, allowing for the journey, a possible break and the time you need at the airport.

If you have an early morning flight, you may need to set off during the night; with an evening flight, you can make the most of your day in Denizli and leave in the afternoon. Either way, we settle the time together with you.
