All route prices →How do you get from Izmir Airport to Usak?
From Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport to Usak it is about 215 km, a drive that usually takes 2.5–3 hours. After leaving the airport we use the Izmir ring road and turn east, towards Ankara. We then pass through Turgutlu, Salihli and Kula, all towns in Manisa province. Once the Gediz plain is behind us, the volcanic country around Kula begins; from there the road climbs onto the high plateau of inland Aegean Turkey and reaches Usak.
The dark lava fields and extinct volcanic cones around Kula can be seen from the road, and the area is known as a UNESCO Global Geopark. Between the plain and the upland, the scenery changes more than once along the way.
As the drive is long, a short break around Salihli or Kula does everyone good. If you are travelling with children or an elderly relative, mention it in your booking; we add the break to the plan and give you your arrival time accordingly.
Where do people stay in Usak?
Usak is an inland Aegean city that was once famous for its carpets and today is known mainly for its textile and leather industries. Most hotels are in the city centre. Business travellers usually head for factories in the organised industrial zone, while students and their families go to Usak University.
When you send us the address of your hotel, the factory or the building on campus, we check the location. At a factory, the company name and the gate where you are expected, and on campus the faculty or building name, let us go straight to the right entrance.
If you are going to a district such as Banaz, Esme, Sivasli or Ulubey, write us your address; we will check the location and tell you the fare in advance. If you have a little time in the city, you could visit the Usak Archaeological Museum, where the Karun Treasure is on display, or, a little further out, the Ulubey Canyon.
What is the closest airport to Usak?
Usak has its own airport, but flight options are limited. That is why many travellers fly into Izmir Adnan Menderes, which has far more connections, and do the rest of the way by road.
Our route passes through Manisa province but does not go into Manisa city centre. If central Manisa is where you are going, there is a separate Manisa route for that drive.
How much is a transfer from Izmir Airport to Usak?
Our transfer from Izmir Airport to Usak costs €170 / ₺9.000 per vehicle, one way. It does not change with the number of passengers: a three-person team visiting the same factory and a student arriving to enrol at university with their family pay the same.
If you are planning a return trip, we add the two one-way fares together. You pay in cash when we reach Usak, at the end of the ride; we do not take a prepayment for the booking.
On this long drive the vehicle is reserved only for you, and we take breaks when it suits your schedule.
Returning from Usak to Izmir Airport
For the return we pick you up at your hotel, at the factory gate or on campus. As the drive is long, we agree the pickup time with you by counting back from your flight and allowing for a possible break and the time you need at the airport.
If you want to fly out on the same day after a meeting, write us the time the meeting ends and your flight details; we will plan the drive around them. For early flights, you may need to set off before dawn; we talk this through and settle it in advance.
You can book the return together with your arrival, or write to us while you are in Usak; our team checks that a vehicle is available and confirms. If you are spending a few days in Izmir before flying home, we can plan your transfers in the city in the same conversation.
