All route prices →How do you get from Izmir Airport to Akbuk?
From Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport to Akbuk we drive about 125 km; on most days the journey takes 1.5–2 hours. Leaving the airport, we head south towards Selcuk and Soke. After Soke we take the Didim road and, before reaching Didim town, turn onto the road that leads down to the bay.
As we come down the hill, a wide, calm bay opens up in front of us, and the holiday estates spread across the slopes around it come into view.
We usually drive without a stop. If you are travelling with small children and would like a short break around Soke, mention it in your booking and we will tell you the arrival time accordingly.
Where do people stay in Akbuk?
Akbuk is a quiet bay known more for its holiday estates and family hotels than for busy hotel strips. Many families spend the summer here in their own holiday homes, so the bay comes alive in the summer months and is very quiet out of season.
Most of the holiday homes are in estates on the slopes around the bay. Because many estate names are similar and the internal roads are steep and narrow, the full address matters to us. When you send the estate name, the block number and a location link, we find the place in advance, and at estates with a guard at the entrance, our driver also knows who to ask for at the gate. Whether you are in a holiday home on the hillside or a hotel near the beach, we drop you at the address you gave us.
If you are staying outside Akbuk, in one of the nearby villages, send us your address; we will check the location and tell you the correct fare in advance.
How much is a transfer from Izmir Airport to Akbuk?
The Akbuk transfer fare is €100 / ₺5.500 per vehicle, one way. Most of the guests we bring to Akbuk are families spending part of the summer in their holiday home, and they usually bring plenty of luggage. As the price does not rise with the number of passengers, travelling in the same car with grandparents and children adds no extra cost.
The vehicle is reserved for you and your family, and we take no other passengers on the way. For a return journey we add the two one-way fares together, and you pay in cash when we drop you at your address.
Return from Akbuk to Izmir Airport
For the return journey we pick you up at your estate gate or your hotel entrance. Where the roads inside the estate are narrow, we agree together on a point where the car can wait, so you do not have to carry your luggage up or down the slope.
We agree the pickup time with you based on your flight time. On the day you leave a holiday home, there are often things to do, such as closing up the house or handing over the keys; we take these into account and find a departure time that leaves you unhurried. If you booked both ways, we can confirm the return time together towards the end of your holiday.
Akbuk and Didim: what is the difference?
Because Akbuk and Didim are often mentioned together, this can be a little confusing.
Akbuk belongs to Didim. That is why some estate addresses say “Didim” even though the holiday home is actually in Akbuk. Didim town and Altinkum beach are in a different part of the district.
If you are staying in Altinkum or Didim town, the right page is the Didim transfer. The fare is the same on both routes; what differs is the destination and the last part of the road. If you are not sure, send us your address and we will tell you which route applies.
Destination areas and vehicle access
Below you will find the drop-off areas on this route and what to know about vehicle access. Some nearby places have their own route page and fare; where a link is shown, the price on that page applies.
| Area | Good to know | Worth mentioning when you book |
|---|---|---|
| Akbük | Estate roads and gates mean we plan the last stretch around your location. | Estate name, building/door number and map pin |
| Akbük | At some hotels the vehicle entrance is not where the map pin shows. | Hotel name and, if you know it, the vehicle entrance |
| Didim | This area has its own route page and fare. | Your accommodation address |
